Choosing the Right Method for You

When selecting a method to measure your body fat percentage, consider factors such as accuracy, convenience, cost, and accessibility. Remember, the most important aspect of measuring body fat is consistency. Using the same method under similar conditions over time will provide the most reliable insight into your progress.

It is for this reason we often recommend a set of body-weight scales with BIA included.

Calorie Tracking:

We request that clients keep a food diary of anything they eat outside of their plan. This can be done on paper or digitally, For the sake of accuracy, we recommend that you log anything additional into a calorie tracking app. MyFitnessPal is a popular choice among users and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Alternatively Cronometer is an excellent option that offers detailed nutritional analysis. Both applications will allow you to look closely at the nutrients of different products by scanning their barcode. Additionally some new applications are emerging which can estimate calorie amounts from photographs taken of meals Although these can provide some insight, for the sake of accuracy we recommend you weigh and log food conventionally.

Other Equipment

Starting a new diet requires a well-equipped kitchen to ensure meal preparation is efficient and enjoyable. Essential items include a set of sharp knives, cutting boards, and a variety of pots and pans for versatile cooking. A high-quality blender or food processor is crucial for making smoothies, soups, and sauces. Measuring cups and spoons help with accurate portion control, while airtight containers are necessary for storing ingredients and leftovers. Additionally, consider investing in a steamer basket for healthy vegetable preparations, a reliable set of mixing bowls, and a non-stick baking sheet. As previously mentioned, having food scales on hand is invaluable for precision.
